A woman is being interrogated. by the Internal Security Bureau of a corrupt military regime in central Africa. The name of Jonas Matanga, a senior government Minister, is mentioned. He flees abroad to safety leaving his wife and secretary behind to face the unpleasant and agonising attentions of the Internal Security Bureau. Jonas is safe, but his wife's ordeal is only just beginning. |

well written and intelligent, with not too much repetition. ramped up the tension nicely. am very glad I don't live anywhere near where this story is set! (9/10)

Once again my favorite author comes through. His descriptions of the various tortures levied on his victims are vivid pictures. Although Cortez's plots never vary, they never fail to arouse the reader. Well done! (10/10)

Excellent--- well paced mix of interrogation tortures- Agony of the Water Cure is expertly related and intersperced with caning enhancement- this is a real hardon-- looking forward to the continuation (10/10)
