I just have one realism quibble. As a landlord, I know that it's nearly impossible to evict a tenant, and it can't happen in less than a couple of months. You have to give notice, then go to court and get an eviction order, which doesn't take effect for weeks, then you have to get a constable to oversee the 'actual' eviction, which is more time and money. And if the tenant comes up with even a little money at the court hearing, the judge compliments him on what a fine human being he is, directs you to accept the partial payment, then makes you start the entire procedure over again. Being a landlord is hell. Tenants have all of the rights and call all the shots. The law hates us. (8/10)

Well executed and even realistic account of how someone's sexual urges push her through a door which opens in one direction only... "Dear Diary" is harsh at times, without being crude. On the contrary. Thanks to the way Lisa Aligher handles her characters -makes them behave rationally within the context of the happenings- the story is quite riveting and keeps the tension up right til the end. Well done. JJ (9/10)
