The first chapter of any story tends to be purely scene setting and therefore a little on the dull side. But this chapter is so dull i almost could not be bothrered to read all 6kb. It would have been better to have made this a preamble to the opening chaper and post the two together.
Hopefully the story will get better and then i can increase my rating of a 5. (5/10)

Nice start. But - no story can ever get a higher rating than the length of the book. Since this story is 6 kb - than the rating gets a correlated 6 rating (6/10)
