The Major below had me confused, or rather, worried. Worried before I read "The Prince's Cow". Confused after I read it.
Because, while "The Prince's Cow" may indeed be a strange story (most stories are, in fact) I certainly wouldn't go as far as saying it isn't up to the author's later standards.
Hey, it even has a character with a number -proof that the mathematical penchant was there all along.
Only slight qualm I have with "The Prince's Cow" is that the story seems to have been lifted out of a bigger tale, thanks to the lack of filling-in some blanks.
For the rest, I enjoyed the writing.
Still am a touch confused though -again thanks to The Major- because I've never thought about the possibility of A.Broadsword being a woman. Hey, call me sexist.

Very very strange. It is an older story revamped according to Broadsword, and not up to her (his?) later standards. I think he she does historic fiction better than this genre but if you like huge body mods treated like having an ingrowing toenail removed then this could be your thing. (6/10)
