An enjoyable story :-)
Might be an good idea to add a few tags though.
Anyway in a way I liked your level of detail/lack of details. I didn't feel that anything got in the way of the story (I fully expected it to do so when I noticed the vikings, being interested in the subject)
And the end(s) is/are sort of surprising :-)
I don't know what the others will rate this story, but I feel that it deserve a eight at least.
That is, "Very good in term of internet fiction. Recommendable" (8/10)
