Writen by request. The three ponies are actual Italian TV celebrities. If I knew how to include their pics I would.

The word 'Fiasco' is Italian. Could be used to describe both Italian politics (from before Berlusconi) and this here story.
The RAI (uno) was long ago kicked off the cable in Belgium (for the RAI not willing to pay the agreed fees for distributing their emissions) which made the fairly large Italian community in Belgium go slightly through the roof, but I never missed it. Seemed RAI Uno was nothing else but lots of variety shows stringed together with as sole purpose bore the viewer to death.
Just like "Three Ponies". The latter could be used as a blueprint for something more elaborate, not just another piece of assembly-line work.
Besides, Abe seems to sometimes post stories from an author called 'Libertine', which confuses me. Is Abe Libertine? If not, does he have permission to post Libertine's stories? If he does have permission, why doesn't Libertine post them herself?
Too many questions. Also about Abe's writing skills. Because, when this one was written by Libertine, maybe Abe's 'good' stories were also written by someone else, without mentioning the real author. Where I come from, we call that a fraud...

Yes, Abe and Libertine are the same person. There is nothing fraudulent in using pen names.
The story was written by request for an Italian who wanted stories about fascists torturing communists; see also "Nicoletta." He specified the communists. Other than that, the stories are fantasy and have nothing to do with contemporary Italian politics or Belgian cable TV.
