Only one problem I had, it was that you repeated the last chapter twice. If that had not been the case, it would have received a higher rating from me. (7/10)

Phil Lane and Freddie Clegg have crafted a superb continuation of the story they began with Thesis. In many ways it is more enticing, engrossing and thought provoking than the excellent original. Very well done and congratulations. I can't wait for the more than hinted promise of The Return of Jenny. (10/10)

Well, what can I say, really. Apart from the fact that Freddie Clegg is, of the many hundreds of writers having posted their scribblings in the Library, one of the few who *really* are writers.
No matter what Freddie writes, regardless of the personal feelings you have towards the content and/or storyline, you can be sure that the writing is good. Excellent even.
As "Such Sweet Sorrow" is a continuation of "Thesis", it is but logical that the same set-up is used; the interweaving of short paragraphs, jumping from one place to another thought. It makes the reading just that more difficult. But not in the sense of the whole becoming incomprehensible, not at all. It makes the reading more difficult just because you have to keep your head and thoughts with the story, just like with a, well, *real* book.
Usually, what you get are stories or vignettes/outtakes/whatever, which are meant to arouse the reader, letting him/her have his wank/her frigg --wham-bam-thank-you-mam-- and you're off to the next one. Assembly-line work is what I call that.
Okay, at the end of the assembling there's usually a nice car, but more often than not the vehicle falls apart once the mind is cleared from the fog created by the arousing shenanigans along the line.
Not so with stories from people like Clegg. With Clegg you hop in and drive the car to whatever destination of your choosing. Because the car holds, because the story stands. Authors like Freddie Clegg are from this rare breed who write a story, not mainly for the sex, but for the sake of a good story itself. The sex is just something that is woven-in. And while the explicit sex is one of the main ingredients, these stories can be turned into mainstream novels without much trouble. That's because these stories *are* mainstream novels, but with upstream content added.
"Such Sweet Sorrow" is a tad more harsh than its predecessor, with our beloved Jenny being somewhat pulled through the wringer. And then some. But a delight to read for sure.
Excellent material, written by a truly gifted author. One must respect that.

- Jimmy, first of all thanks for the review. Its great that you're enjoying the tale. For "Such Sweet Sorrow" and "Thesis" (and for "The Greenwich Tales"), I can't claim all the credit though.
These three stories have been jointly authored by myself and Phil Lane and your compliments belong to him as much as to me.
That said, we both wanted to produce something that was a bit more than your typical "bind - beat - bonkbuster" and while we did want to keep the sex content up we wanted it to be in some sort of comprehensible situation.
We just hope we live up to your high opinion of "Such Sweet Sorrow" with the rest of the tale.
