Hmmmm...
As great as the narration is in Prom Dress, there just wasn't much of a plot. What is there is disturbingly dark eroticism, but it lacks connecting threads and it sorta begins in the middle.
This story is a lurid, narrative suggestion about something bad that could happen to a family. Although the writing itself is great, there's no hook-- it happens and the ending is a time-bomb that we don't see go kaboom.
I'd love to see a bit more about Kelly as a person, some idea of why she and her family were targeted, and even a tease of her mother before something happens. (7/10)
