The two low ratings were far too harsh and the reviewers should revisit their ratings. Hey! You guys say it's too short to evaluate, so you go ahead and valuate it anyway???
I felt that the tale moved along well and kept me interested in what was going to happen next.
Speaking of which, it's been more than two full years since the last "there's more to come" note... Any idea when we can expect it?
I was only annoyed by the really short chapters (and constant downloading for the next tiny snippet).
Thanks for the nice start of an Eastern fantasy. Please finish it (or at least add some more flesh to the skeleton you've built)! (8/10)

I wonder what's gotten into some folks, that they insult Freddie with a score as low as the ones displayed. I myself was already grabbing for an eight before I came to the first line of plus-signs, because, let's face it, the Cleggster can write.
If a story, or part of a story, isn't to one's liking, then at least acknowledge the skill.
Okay, so sometimes it feels like a few things have been glued together without the pieces seeming to fit, but that's because Freddie chose to introduce characters and situations separately, making them come together later. Which is cool. It keeps you wondering. And on edge.
So far, I'm not particulary overjoyed. But neither am I disappointed. The man can write, so just let him.
I liked it so far and am intrigued.
8.5, maybe, rounded off to nine, plus one to poke in Kemosabe's eye with. That's ten.

I agree that it's rather little to judge..
Still it is an rather interesting idea..
It could turn out as a rather nice story..
I'm looking forward to read the next bit.
Be warned though, I might change my rating in either direction then, and that include lowering it.

Far too short to evaluate. The story doesn't provide any clue of the "lust, power, magic and villainy" that the author promises. Author needs to get after it quickly to hold anyone's interest. (4/10)
