I like the entire Shannon Series, but this one is My favorite... especially the changes Shannon goes through here, as she is awakening. The descriptive pseudo inquisition torture scenes are enjoyable (why DID the bearded fellow back off?) and the very premise is imaginative. Hope to see more of Shannon. (9/10)
