Lynn is unwittingly caught up in a drug sting. Set up by a friend, involving a small amount of pot and zenex's, she's given the choice of being prosecuted or being trained as a submissive for the undercover agent. Choosing the later, she doesn't realize the depth or severity of her training. |

I personally would have made the opening scenes 'harder', more humiliating, by adding more people, like a bunch of agents instead of a single chauffeur.
Broad daylight too, with the neighbors watching as Lynn's put in hobbling convict chains, right there on her porch, neigbors looking on still, while grim-faced armed guards --some with barking dogs-- purposefully stand in Lynn's front yard, forming a gauntlet as Lynn is walked on a leash to a waiting van... ooh the thrill. *Ahem*.
That's of course my lecherous mind speaking, showing a fondness for extremely humiliating settings.
"Lynn's Training" is a great read. And very well written, I might add, despite some silly and occurring spelling mistakes. Chuckdom makes it sound as if this tale was written in Swahili, but I can assure you it's plain ol' Americanized English... very readable indeed.
I feel that J Lewis takes "Lynn's Training" where French director Luc Besson should have taken "Nikita" (or "La Femme Nikita" for our English/American friends), instead of making her (Nikita) a high-profile killer for the government...
Anyway, "Lynn's Training" is what I feel to be among J Lewis' better efforts, both on the imagination front as on the writing part.
I feel that way because for some reason, there's a higher level of intimacy to the story, as if J Lewis was mentally deeper involved with the story than on some of his other writings.
It could of course be just me who for some reason felt this way, just because of the at times very well described and humiliating scenes.
The only thing which bothers me at times is the (to me) too frequent use of a 'Dom' or 'Master'. Or at least those words.
It's not because someone has a sadistic streak that he/she automatically has to be described as the aformentioned.
In fact, I find this whole "Masters and Slaves" thing to be boring, tedious even. I know it helps in painting the picture, but to me, there's only rulers and those who are ruled. Leaders and followers. Owners and those that are owned. Proprietors and property.
Okay, that's again my darker half speaking.
Besides, that Master and slave shit makes me think of "the lifestyle" scene. Gives me the chills, as it too many times draws borders, confines in which those people move, restricting themselves to a certain behavior and code. Too much of an "us and them" attitude. Which is a nice Pink Floyd song, by the way.
To me, in stories at least, there's no restrictions. No self-imposed borders. No "lifestyle" scene. Too many limits/limitations.
Because, shit happens. All over. The Austrian guy who kept his daughter in the basement for over twenty years didn't belong to no scene. The English interrogators who grilled some members of the I.R.A. didn't belong to no scene.
The Gestapo --although clad in leather-- didn't belong to no scene... etc...
Just my two Eurocents. Although I might have to switch back to Dollars, now the latter is gaining on the Euro...

Lack of proper English formatting makes the story all but unreadable. Not a bad idea, but too hard to read. (6/10)

part one was quite good, but what happened between part one and part two. That should have been the main story. (7/10)
