Excellent, well described, expertly written with accurate historic facts and detail to attention. The story of Kazumi and Chiyoko was my favorite read of all Shabbadew2002's work(I've read them all). Thank you for this masterpiece. (10/10)

An amazing story, well-told, with meticulous attention to detail on an astonishing array of levels: historically, culturally, physically and emotionally. As with other stories by this author, the breadth and depth of knowledge displayed is astounding, ranging from the gender roles and customs, yet also political rivalries and intrigues of 17th century Japan to physiology of torture techniques to the emotional and sexual vulnerabilities of a young noblewoman and her maidservant. The way the narrative navigates between between gut-wrenching (and sometimes gut-turning) brutality and heart-breaking sensitivity to the emotional turmoil of Kazumi and Chiyoko is breathtaking, morally and emotionally excruciating, yet also mesmerizing and hauntingly arousing as the innocent young women discover unimagined and mortifying levels of masochism in themselves, to the sadistic amusement and delight of their tormentors. This is so well-written that, as a mother of daughters, I found it as utterly compelling as it was appalling to be brought to frenzied arousal both vicariously sadistic and masochistic imagining myself and my daughters undergoing the girls' grueling ordeal. As the saying goes, I had to shower after reading it, but could wash away neither the shame in my soul nor the arousal it still stirred. Art changes who and what it touches, and, as with the characters in this story, how their ordeal was told touched and changed me. (10/10)

I enjoyed the story immensely and recommend it to aficionados of the darker side of mankind. Dialogue is not strong, but excusable since the storytelling is quite strong, making up for it. I'd like to read more from this author. (9/10)

Just the one vote can only mean that this gem somehow got overlooked. Seeing the amount of readers is an affirmation of this. A real pity, because this here is great storytelling, with a keen eye for historic detail, both in the customs of medieval Japan, as in the behavior of its inhabitants. Add a well dosed amount of delicious erotic savagery, and you've got a tale that is a must-read. JJ (10/10)

I can't quite believe how good this story is. A long, epic tale of cruelty and madness that never gets boring. A warning for those who don't like scat - some of this might gross you out, but I found the whole affair thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable. There were some minor grammatical issues, but nothing that really bothered me, and besides, the style used throughout, which echoes the setting so nicely, overcame any problems. Please write more, Shabbadew2002! (10/10)
