I refused to be put off by the narcissistic, egocentric ramblings of the author in the pompous forward to this War and Peace of master/slave stories, so I sampled a few sections of this epic. The writing shows skill, the characters are developed satisfactorily, but the story takes forever to go anywhere. Chapter 3 requires a degree in mechanical engineering to fully appreciate. I know I am leaving myself open to attack by confessing that I have not read every word, but so be it. This review is for the benefit of other readers, not the reclusive author who obviously thinks he is casting some pearls in our direction. (5/10)
