Story suffers from Lewis Chappelle seeming to be in a hurry. It especially shows in the rushed way in which some new characters are being introduced. But as we get further into this third part in the "Day And Knight" series, we see that this doesn't matter too much, because the story glides off into a blur of a coming and going of the different people involved (just like with the last parts of Chappelle's "Submissive..." series) so that the readers have a hard time following what's going on. In-between shenanigans, the original storyline pops up once in a while, but before the reader can focus (and recollect) what it was all about, we're off again for a roll in the hay. Or barbed wire, in this case. The writing is good, with less errors than before. But still, I feel a tad let down by the way this excellent story 'deteriorates' into just another fuckfest. Seeing that there's a dinner planned at the end of chapter eight I surmise there's supposedly more to follow. It would be a great idea to still continue this series, but only when weeding in the amount of characters and concentrating on just a few of them. Not that I'm in any way telling Lewis Chappelle what to do, of course. JJ (8/10)
