Ipshita is a young widow with two children who is forced into becoming a slave by her lover. She is humiliated, exhibited, and tortured mercilessly by her lover and his guests. The story is set in India where I am based and all my stories are based on real incidences reported in the press, but of course enhanced to spice it up. |

The author is no Mary Jorsay Gandmar, but this is a good initial effort. The biggest challenge for most Indian writers is to try to capture the various versions of english that are spoken by people of different social levels. The author makes an honest effort here, but still has a way to go. I look forward to further offerings from this author. (6/10)
