- A hattrick has nought to do with Hockey, but is a term in most ball-/pucksports (usually soccer or (ice)hockey), for 3 scores by the same player within the timespan of the same period (half, quarter, whatever).
3 scores withing the regular time of a complete match is also referred to as a "Hattrick", but technically it's not a "real" one...
