A fine basis for a long tale. Good SF background, interesting concept. Some fine editing here and there would help: If a term is to be used, it should be consistantly used to acquaint the reader. (Such as "Kneeing by my Master"; if the term is 'kneeing' instead of the standard 'kneeling', don't use kneeling as a description earlier in the same section. Or vice-versa, of course.) I'd like to see more of the tale. (7/10)
