I think that the description of "OK, but has some promise, the author could improve it" is fitting. Too much time spent on an un-erotic injury and the spirituality of the ending was. . . what's up with that and the shy thing? (5/10)

All kinds of possibilities here. A lovely beginning, but the "meat" of the scene moves so quickly, then it is over. More attention seems paid to her injuries than to her "crucifixion", and THAT is what the story seems destined to be about. Lots of chances for fixing with a revision. (6/10)
