I really enjoyed this story and would give it a 10 if it wasn't for the ending, which is a bit abrupt as the other reviews say. Based on the originality of the plot, the flow of the story and the exploration of self-bondage I believe it deserves a higher rating than 6-7-8. (9/10)

As is, this rates a 7. With an improved ending
(probably requiring at least one more chapter),
it might well be a 9.
It might be nice to include more about Johnson's
character (and reveal something of Blue Stripe's)
-- but the main thing is to fix that flat,
anti-climactic ending. The case is not, in fact,
closed -- merely shelved.

This was a story that had a seat edge quality, sadly it was let down by the ending. Perhaps a little more thought and character development would make this a real epic. Thoroughly enjoyed it though. Many thanks (8/10)
