Outstanding story. Excellent nurturing of Norah's personality, as she slowly succombs. The narrative has the right pace, and though the scenes of collecting the rent and the punishments are repeated every forthnight, there's no sense of repetitiveness, thanks majorly to the author's skill in portraying Norah's inner musings while things are happening to her.
It's a real shame no additional chapters were added in almost three years now. I guess I'm not the only one around here who's hoping Alfaman will awaken from his slumber and continue "Norah's Descent", right up to its deserved finish.

This is a terrific story! Frankly, I don't
understand mkemse's review. What was wrong with
the "context" that he should be "disapointed"
(sic) in it? And what was so awful about "to"
(sic) much spacing between the chapters? (BTW,
there were also a handful of typos and a
continuity error -- but who cares?) If the
continuation is as good these first chapters,
I may well be revising my rating UPWARD.
The central character, Norah, is very well
drawn and clearly deserving of much attitude
adjustment and behavior modification. The
power reversal is gradual, believable, and
inexorable. The writing is clean and crisp.
Altogether 1st rate! (9/10)
