    | | The best thing La Baronne has ever written. The opening is magnificent in its ponderous darkness. The only weakness lies in the actual corporal punishment scenes which is to be expected given that this appears to be an early work. I like the very last scene in the emergency room. Someday this piece should be rewritten making the corporal punishment scenes more realistic and the revised work reposted. (9/10)

    | | This story has some very good plot development and an excellent ending. Although the torments that our heroine endures are obviously extreme, the author leaves the details to our imagination, which is good. However there are some lapses in english that make me wonder how much of this story is original. Why is it that some of the characters seem to speak as if they had no understanding of the english language, while others are incredibly articulate and have a british accent to boot? "Is a puzzlement" to quote the king of siam. (7/10)
