I woul;dn't call this writing stilted at all. It was 'grinding'. (3/10)

Anytime "stitlted writing" is posted in a review that pharse actually draws some (okay, I bit) like winged insects to light. Aside from the occasional use of thusses and dots, this fictional exercise in sadism is not all that stilted and may appeal to some readers. It being a period piece attention is given to certain details and these details could be embellished, but the bottom line is that "Severe" is a good read and muchly (is "muchly" stilted?) deserves to be continued. (7/10)

What was the purpose of this exercise in the grotesque? There is no plot, the characters are less than one dimensional and the writing is stilted. (3/10)
