What if there were a place, just like the town over the next hill, but just a little bit different from everywhere else? What if the residents lived by their own rules, without outside interference? Three newcomers learn about the Island as they look for a new start in life. |

Jack Peacock is always good. Personally I find his stories to be a bit to romantic and consensual for my taste but I like the slow pace and detailed working out of how to run a community that subjugates women. (9/10)

Wonderful story. The story real quality to it. You knew it was fiction but you didn't have to suspend your disbelief. The people in the story were people you wood meet. I really enjoyed the story because I could believe that the Island really existed. (9/10)

Perfect! A wonderfully detailed and well-researched story, I love the length of the story, it was long enough for the reader to get deeply involved with the characters and for the characters to be developed realistically. I found it very well written, structured very well, loved the detail and the overall idea. The island sounds like a wonderful place to live, and I enjoyed using my imagination for the sex scenes rather than having them dissected and detailed too graphically. (10/10)

As noted by all a well written story, a bit long but that gives you plenty of time to develop your extensive cast of characters. You manage to develop a world where female bondage and slavery become mundane, the only conflict is the inner turmoil we are allowed to watch as the characters become aware of their chosen place in this society. That may well have been your goal but by the 150th page I was looking for some conflict, a villain, or lacking that some gratuitous sex. Call me a lazy reader if you want but a little more disharmony might have spiced up your fine story. (8/10)

I found this story extremely well written and very insightful - as a submissive female it amazed me that the author was so intuitive about both sides of the coin. And, it was very refreshing to be able to use my imagination - versus all the graphic details most writters feel they must include to keep our attention - (10/10)

What can I say. Excellent, wonderful. Different gals, yet heart warmingly submissives. A little less nudity and action than I usually prefer, but my goodness you made up for it -- an easy to read style with compelling depth and different submissive characters each with their own takes on the same situation. Marvelous. I liked the handcuffs, the elevator, I even liked Cathy's book causes boredom. (10/10)

A wonderful story, with "real-life" characters. My favorite characters were Kurt and Luisa. Kurt, a very forceful, controlling Dominant, and Luisa, a dedicated, self-assured journalist, who finds her "true" calling. I enjoyed the way the author led me through the story without being vulgar, ...he temps and teases you, to use your imagination. And I did!!! (10/10)

- No lazy readers! If I'm going to spend the time to write this monster, then by golly anyone reading it is gonna have to contribute some imagination too!

Excellent work! Three women's experience in an isolated but (at least potentially) real-world total power exchange society. Well plotted, well developed characters, and very well written. Careful consideration of the problems facing such a society way more than makes up for limited explicit content. Another fine story from one of the best on-line authors. (10/10)

iloved this story. it's an M/s story, and there were many moments that i wished i could live in the fantasy society that Mr. Peacock created so adeptly. my only suggestions would be to lessen the repetition and focus on handcuffs. there are many other means of restraint and some can be powerfully erotic as well. i would have liked to have seen more insight into the mindsets of kurt and ben. the relationship between mark and cathy is extremely well plotted and detailed. i wish that the other two male characters and their relationships had been as finely described. overall, the mini-novella was extremely well-written and minus any of the typos, poor grammar, and badly worded dialogue that detract from so many of the stories i have read. i truly appreciated the fact that it was not someone's "wet dream". (10/10)

- In hindsight there is some undue repetition, a hazard of my particular writing style (non-linear, a bit here, a bit there, sometimes I miss the reruns). As for the monotony of handcuffs and nothing else, the props are secondary to telling a good story. I made the decision to keep it simple so as not to distract from the characters.

Even though the story is long, it is skillfully done job of weaving 3 separate stories together. 3 different viewpoints all relating to the same outcome. Drat, would I love to find a partner that matched me. The author certainly stimulated my imagination. Great story. (10/10)

i think this story is extremely well-written, and reads much more like a professional, published novel than most of the stories on this site. however, i can't give it a ten because, although i enjoyed reading it, it didn't turn me on, as i have come to expect from the storeis i enjoy on this site. i think that if the author went back and revised the...ahem..."action" scenes to be more in-depth and, well, graphic, i wouldn't hesitate to give this story a ten. (8/10)

- No revisions, a work stands or falls on its merits the first time out. In any case, my style is not to have the explicit "action" you look for. Plenty of that elsewhere; I hope to offer an alternative for those who prefer a bit of subtlety.
