I just don't understand how other reviewers can rave about Powerone no matter how badly he writes, then give sevens to this series. Deputy Duffy is now the first author I look for when I come to the Library, and he never fails to deliver. This is probably the best of the four or five I've read. I love that his stories seem so believable, which is something I don't run across often at this site. And even though the narrator is constantly abusing his authority, no one seems to get hurt! I want to live in his world. (10/10)

I thought the writing was pretty good, but I didn't really go for the responses of the ladies. That and the fact that the deputy just seemed a little too...sophomoric. Oh well, you don't have to like the characters to like the story.

A nice walk around in the mind of a rapist, rationalizing his bad behavior. Well written, moves right along, but a little light in descriptions here and there. An enjoyable story. (7/10)
