An interesting ritual whose side effects might be interesting to explore. What is Anna and Julie's relationship like away from Sir? What is Julie's relationship with Sir aside from her participation in the weekly event? Is Julie really envious? Enquiring minds want to know! Thank you! (7/10)

You know, I thought this was very good. It’s written in the third person -- nothing unusual there -- only the style of writing is, and I found it really kind of intriguing. It’s as if the author is watching and relaying the whole thing as it happening .
The only criticism I have is the switch to past tense in the fifth paragraph kind of jarred me, and people who know a lot more about it than me, say don’t ever use brackets in fictional writing. They say it breaks the flow of ‘suspended belief’.
