Alas, it's been so long that this story was updated. I've really enjoyed it and the latest chapters bring about so many emotions in the relationship of the captive and her new owner. This is very well written! Thanks for giving us an ending to remember. (9/10)

- Thank you Ruby. In response to your request that I finish what I started, I just submitted the last three chapters and conclusion to the story. I'm sorry I took so long to finish it, but real life sidetracked me. You can thank Curtis for pushing me on to complete it.

My bad on the motivation part, though it does seem as though there were other means to hook up during the Old West days, e.g. mail order brides, prostitutes, distaff side pioneers/business people, livestock, etc.
is it really all that fair to make fun of people from West Virginnie, like Tom and Bill?
Just supercilious nonsense, although the albeitly authentic dialogue did smack of more modern speak.
And that Simon fellow doesn't seem anything like the guy on the TV show
Sorry again, but thought that most knew of American Idol and Simon from that show, and again the use of that popular name brought back more contemporary images.
An otherwise fine story that deserves to be read by many, and thank you for the explaining what this reader missed. FYI: A fine reference source that you and your collaborators may be interested to further augment your depictions regarding this historical period is "Dictionary of the American West", by Winfred Blevins. This book contains "5,000 terms and expressions" and is endorsed by the Western Writers of America. (6/10)

- Thank you for the review, but I don't understand your question about motivation. The motivation was stated that Simon wants a grandson to continue his line. In fact, he won't allow the boys to have vaginal intercourse with her until she has menstruated to be sure that if she does become pregnant that it is his grandson. Maybe you missed that?. The setting is the Old West, women are scarce that is why they abducted her. The idea also came from a true incident a few years ago where a man and his son here in the United States abducted a woman as a "wife" for the man's son. She was rescued many months later. Perhaps you remember the incident?

- The names come from my husband's family tree. I referred to it to get authentic names from the 1800's. The accent is a good old southern country accent (south of Virginia) courtesy of Woodsman, an authentic southerner.
What TV show are you referring to? I'm afraid I rarely watch TV so I have no idea.

woodsman's game is getting better and better with each story and this is the best. I managed to wait for the second chapter before reviewing and I am glad I did. For although the first chapter set the scene and the mood, the second chapter really gave the story its kick. This author is really getting good! I am eager to read chapter 3. Bravo. (10/10)

- First of all I'm am grateful to Jinn for correcting my problem. I can finally review and reply to reviews! I had not done so before because I couldn't. Thank you for the encouragement, e.e.norcod. I think I have improved too, and the reviews (and my two wonderful editors) have helped. Especially, those reviews like yours that give suggestions.

This is great work. I am going to be checking the website hourly waiting for more updates. The dialogue, the pacing, the setting... Brilliant story and I want more. :: cracks whip :: get to it, wench! I noticed one thing that a friend told me to never do in my own stories, so I'll mention it: some female readers really hate seeing 'body' and 'betray' in the same sentence, so be careful of moving in and around that theme. As for me, I LOVE it. (10/10)

- Thank you, Gary, as you can see I have removed the offended line from the story. I debated on that. I should have listened to my instincts.

This may be premature, but I think this is going to be the start of a great story. The characters and plot have been laid down, and the story codes have provided a clue to what is coming. There is enough sex even in this chapter, the opening, with a glimpse of more to follow. Though there is only one chapter at the moment, it has the right pace and content even for the hardened reader. (10/10)
