I don't remember what all of Fire-Bird's I've read before. Anyway: Although I'm not a fan of this kind of story, I think it was well written and clear. I am not a big fan of 'dead' characters doing narrative. It's like cheating to me. = ) A good short with a few twists. (7/10)

Wrong story codes! Aargh! This story is M+/m, F+/m. If I had known that, I wouldn't have wasted my time reading it, being no fan of male-sub stories. (4/10)

Hi Curtis, maybe I'm being picky but there is more to a story than the story codes. I've read some of your past reviews and it always seems to stem around the codes. Surely there must be better things to talk about with a story than the damn codes. (ie. Is the message getting through? .. Enough about the codes!)

A reply to the reply: If I disagree about whether a story is 'serious', 'heavy', extreme', or 'torture' or whether or not it's 'slow', these are matters of opinion. I give me opinion (without the "Aargh!"), grade the paper and move on. Failing to note that a story is 'snuff' or 'scat', or calling an F/m or M/m story M/f is false advertising. If you advertise a red corvette for sale and when I get to your place all you've got to show me is a blue Yugo that you've slaved over for hours to get cherry, what kind of a reaction (review) do you expect?

I don't think I've ever had one of my stories referred to as a car. Fair enough Curtis, maybe I've been lax with my story codes. I'll try to do better in the future. In fact, if you'd be so kind as to point me in the direction of one of 'your' stories so I can see how it's really done, I'd be most grateful. Hang on! You don't have a story on the website?! ... So much for leading by example Curtis.
Be fair mate, all I want is an honest appraisal of my story. How it's written, how it flows, does it make sense, etc. I don't believe people care about story codes. I might be wrong there but if a story title and description catches my attention, codes is the last thing I'm concerned about.
PS. You don't own a blue Yugo by any chance?!

Blue Plymouth Voyager, actually. All right, then think about it this way -- if the correct codes had been on the story, I wouldn't have reviewed it at all (I only review /m stories if they're not labeled as such) and the entire issue would never have come up. Why don't you get your friend Phoenix to review this one? I'm sure he'll be objective -- he's already given you a '10' on another story. That'll raise your average in a hurry. (edit) Your line about the blue Yugo was both funny and subtle. I didn't get it until a half-hour later. At least no one can say you lack a sense of humor! As far as submitting my own work -- I already know I can't write. I don't need to have a reviewer confirm that for me.
