I wnated to like it, if only for the fact of a different scenario. However it contained little or no Russian flavor, and sorry to say, little to recommend. (5/10)

A LOT of punctuation mistakes and a few too mant capitalizations. Mike, you often use quotes to indicate a word that needs special emphasis (preferable would be italics, but that's not available at this site, so try using all caps for those words). Ironically, the one time, near the end, when the quotes would have been appropriate, you used double asterixes instead. I assume this will be continued and I hope the story develops some. By the way, the USTA is the United States Trotting Association and I was unaware that they had a military camp. A pony girl farm would be more appropriate. (4/10)
