Really slow dull start, almost didn't finish it, but it got rather interesting in the end. (6/10)

Sex and science fiction seem to be like oil and water. Philip Farmer was the only writer that ever successfully wed them. He still is the only writer to have done it. To add insult to injury, it took forever for the plot to develop. On the plus side it is well written in a technical sense. Too bad some of the author's skill in this area couldn't be channeled into some of the other budding authors who submit stories to this site. (5/10)
