Well written, though not, for me, particularly erotic. I especially liked two touches -- the title itself, taken from the Dutch master's famous allegory of sin, shame and torment. And the character 'Stan Lee'; it is only fitting that a character named Ms Americana should encounter a person bearing the name of the founder and father of Marvel Comics. Looking forward to more (8/10)

A very good beginning, marred somewhat by a less than professional proofing. The author certainly loves to work with conflicted heroines with fatal weaknesses, one of his main themes in every story. The sex and violence are typically understated but seem to develop maximum heat for a minimum amount of fuel, quite a feat. The cast of stock characters and their motivation work well in this type of story. As in all of his work the simple plot and stereotypical villains are neither simple or typical when you think about it. I look forward to the rest of this story from an author who I admire for his wit, style, writing skills and ability to generate some decent heat. I shall now add my standard disclaimer concerning the review by the numbers scheme that has been foisted upon me, and to which I do not adhere. (9/10)
