Okay: it's racist. There's that, coming out of the gate. But that's kind of a narrow scope of the story. It's about a white woman raped by black men, and many of the elements of the story will offend those delicate flowers who can't admit that some people act and speak as Coyote suggests. He's not responsible for telling us that upscale black men who do not rape white women are also in the universe. All he's telling us is Brenda's encounter. I enjoyed it immensely, although the ebonics were a bit off phonetically. Read ebonics by Stephen King for an excellent example in how to do it correctly. As for the story, I hope there's a sequel. Nothing too surprising here, but Coyote's good with details. (7/10)

Back to back stories with the same general theme, tone and writing style sort of deadens ones senses unless the author is quite gifted. I probably would have liked this one a lot better had it been the first work by the author that I read, but it wasn't. Once again in total opposition to review by the numbers, my rating has nothing to do with " somewhat enjoyable and acceptable writing skills." It's just the sum of my subjective feelings and some concrete observations about the story and its presentation. (6/10)
