Chapter 38, Omega Psi Sisters Pledge Week Days 1 - 5
The girls slept soundly until about two pm in the afternoon. Finally Karen woke up and realized how late it was. Those clues will give you what you need to know to start the next night’s hunt. There will also be clues as to what your new companion’s name will be at the end of the initiation.
I can see from the surprised look on your faces that you didn’t expect to have a companion. The reasoning is simple. They are there to protect you among other things.
You will also be given a nick name that only members of the fraternity will know. That will be your sister name. If someone comes up to you and he doesn’t call you by that name first, he is not a brother. That is how we decided to make sure you could always identify someone from the fraternity, even if you haven’t met them. So if they don’t call you by your sister name after you get it, be very cautious.
Now back to the hunt. Each night you will earn a special gift. These items are to be saved for the initiation. That will be when you will get to use them for their intended purpose for the first time. They are the next to last thing that you have to do to become a sister. By the way, there are some things that will happen during the scavenger hunt that are required for you to do before you are accepted as a sister. We won’t tell you what they are so be careful about refusing to do anything. You never know if that is one of the required tasks or not. Do any of you have any questions?”

Karen said, “That’s settled then. You have about four hours of free time before dark. Use it well. He will take you to the first gate to campus and you’re on your own from there. You will be released at fifteen minute intervals. Your start time and end time is being recorded. At the end of each day, you will be given an item and a part of the clue to begin the next day. You will have to work together to figure it out. It said, ‘To begin your trek, go to the House of tutoring to be educated on the next step of your adventure. Hint, the name of the location is the same as the first name of McDonald’s famous clown.”
Suzie said, “That’s an easy one. That has to be Ronald Tutor Hall”. The others all agreed as well. The van pulled in to gate one and stopped and let the first pledge out. The van would then circle campus and return to the same exact spot and release the next pledge fifteen minutes later.
