traders and was preparing to return to the basement. Suddenly he heard a

A heroic escape attempt by Anne had failed. Denise had decided on her own that

leave in the van about ten minutes later. Dewright desperately tried to keep the
vehicle in sight even after a near collision while running a red light.
Back at the estate Rocco took Larry to the basement to join the other three

wooded area and escaped. The four captives were found in the basement and freed.
Larry and Denise were arrested. Despite an intense search Rocco was not caught.
In return for testifying that Larry admitted involvement in other rapes Denise
pled guilty and received a ten year sentence. DNA connected Larry to two

Anne Snideley gave up her private law practice and was appointed by the governor

Chris Dewright and Cathy Richaud married but separated within a year.
Six months after his escape Rocco was found shot to death along a highway in New
Mexico the apparent victim of a drug related hit. The case has never been
solved.
